Asbestos testing starts at $295 when completed during your popcorn-ceiling removal estimate. A separate testing appointment starts at $395. Combining both during the same visit saves $100 for the same testing scope. Final cost depends on the project area, materials, required samples, and laboratory needs. Testing is priced separately from ceiling removal.
The limited testing service includes the project-specific inspection, sample collection, accredited laboratory analysis, and a written report. The scope and price are confirmed before sampling.

Our standard removal and smooth-finishing process includes home protection, eligible texture removal, agreed ceiling repairs, preparation, primer, paint, and cleanup. Your written proposal identifies the work included for your home.
Ceiling height, condition, access, protection needs, repairs, finishing scope, and location affect the final quote. The $1,500 starting point is not a guaranteed price for every room of this size.
Testing is billed separately. Positive results require a separately priced licensed abatement path before finishing.

Why is there a project minimum?+
Popcorn-ceiling projects typically start at $1,500, with a practical starting scope of approximately 200–220 square feet. Smaller projects may be considered individually. The minimum allows us to schedule the crew, protect the home, set up equipment, and complete the agreed finishing and cleanup. Testing is separate; asbestos abatement is not included.
Does the price per square foot drop on larger jobs?+
Larger projects may have a lower effective price per square foot because setup, equipment, and crew mobilization costs are spread across more ceiling area. Ceiling condition, height, and finishing needs still affect the quote.
How should I compare another contractor’s quote?+
We cannot compare another contractor’s price without knowing what their proposal includes. We explain our scope, preparation, testing, removal, repairs, finishing, and cleanup so you can compare proposals accurately. Our minimum gives the crew the time and resources to protect your home and complete the work to our standards.
Can you help with a smaller room?+
Tell us about it. Around 200–220 square feet is our typical starting scope, not an absolute cutoff. Smaller projects are reviewed individually, and the project minimum may still apply.
